Hi! I’m Heather!

Welcome, welcome! I’m so glad you stopped by!

When I first started this blog back in 2008, it was more of a personal diary of my own journey to healthy living.

I was deep into learning about how to fuel and nourish my body and letting go of a diet mentality.

Over the years I’ve grown, learned, and turned my journey into this amazing space where I get to teach and help YOU through your journey.

I’m a NASM certified nutrition coach, AFAA certified group fitness instructor, YogaFit certified instructor plus so many more fitness certifications.

I love learning, and then sharing what I learn with you!

I’m also a wife, a mom to 4 amazing kids, a cookbook author, food photographer, and recipe developer.

Nutrition and fitness information is so saturated on the internet, and it becomes confusing figuring what to believe and follow.

There is no one way to exercise or one way to eat.

We are all unique in our likes/dislikes and what works for each of us. And that changes with seasons in our life!

Hi Heather!! Thanks for stopping by my blog!!! I am training now for a 2 person relay with my hubby (Rock N roll marathon)…don’t want to jump the gun and sign up for a half marathon when I have never ran more than 3 miles before!!! Have you ran the half marathan yet? How did it go?

Hi Caree – yes this will be my third half marathon in January, and I’m hoping my best. Keep working at it girl! Hope your relay goes well – I’ll be doing my first relay race in August – the Hood to Coast.

I just discovered your site – so great! But unfortunately all your links on your pregnancy page link to an external food page so I cannot read any of it 🙁 … maybe you could correct that? I’d love to read all your posts on pregnancy!!

Hi Marie… I just fixed all the links on my pregnancy page! It’s been something I’ve been putting off, so I’m glad you commented and got me into gear! To read the weekly updates you pick on the square picture with the week # in it… I noticed a lot of the pictures aren’t showing up in it (from when I transferred my site), so that’s my next step in correcting.
