Today is a very special day.

August 1st, 5 years ago I got to marry the love of my life.  These past 5 years have flown by way too quickly.  I love you babe!  Can’t wait for 50 billion more years together!

We both look a little different now huh?

With our little man in our lives I think time is going to go by 100X faster.

It’s crazy that Hunter is already 14 months old!  He is growing up so quickly.

He sits like a big kid in the car snacking away on a banana.  And isn’t that messy with it.

He wears his sweet shades like a champ.

He picks blueberries with his best bud Mabel.

He sits on top of his kitty with a big grin on his face.  He annoys the dog constantly and laughs hysterically as Joe tries to run away.  Then Hunter runs after him.

He still loves bath time like crazy.

He has ONE BOTTOM TOOTH in now!  It was a big deal around these parts. 🙂

He is still napping twice a day (about 30-45 minutes at 11am, then 2.5-3.5 hours around 2pm), but randomly will only take one nap around 12:30pm.  He is such a good eater still.  He’s becoming a little more defiant at times, not doing what I ask him to do, but I think he’s just testing his boundaries.  He’s turning into a toddler soon!

He had his first night away from us last weekend for our getaway, and did amazingly well.  Thankfully for my parents he’s a good sleeper and goes down without a problem.

He brings so much joy and happiness to my life every day with the silly things he does.  I love our snuggles and that he still likes to give hugs.

I picked up a toothbrush for Hunter a little while back but haven’t yet made ‘brushing’ a part of our nighttime routine.  I just give it to him to practice with while I brush my teeth and he’ll move it around in his mouth.  And it only happens when I remember… maybe once a week if I’m lucky.

Any tips for making it a normal thing?  When do you start offering toothpaste too?  Probably when there are more teeth, huh?

Have a great rest of the day!

  1. Happy anniversary! We just celebrated our 5 year too! Fun to look back at pictures and talk about how different we look. Hunter is getting so big! We started brushing our son’s teeth around 12 months but in the same way. He got to play with it while we brushed and then we would brush them ourselves. Now he brushes his own really good at 26 months!
