How to store homemade protein bars
After the bars are cooled to room temperature, cut them into 9 pieces.
Wrap the bars in parchment paper, then place them in a sealed bag or airtight container. You can store them in the fridge for 5 days, or freeze them for up to 6 months!
If freezing the bars, simply place the number of bars that you’d like to defrost in the fridge or on the counter.
Now you’ve got yourself grab-and-go bars that are healthy, homemade, and without added preservatives in them!

Me too!
I always leave our bars in the fridge too! I think they taste better that way. These sound great. 80 is such a kick butt release! Love
Oh yes, fridge bars tend to stay moister for me too. What’s your 80 launch theme? We’re doing 80s 🙂
These sound like a perfect snack! Thanks for sharing!
Great idea for a high protein snack.
Those sound delicious! I’ve recently stopped getting any “brand name” protein bars because they’re just so processed – this seems like a perfect alternative! Thanks!
Yes they’re definitely more expensive than making your own!
I only wish I were motivated to consider cloth diapers someday – but I think it’s fascinating to learn about!
The protein bars look delicious! I’m always up for apple spice anything 🙂
Apple spice makes everything nice 🙂
This looks amazing! I really need to buy some protein powder. I don’t know anything about protein powder, where do you buy it? I’ve seen it at Trader Joe’s but I don’t know if it’s good or not. Where do you buy yours? This is a great grab and go breakfast and would love to make it!
I picked it up at Fred Meyers in the nutrition section. They don’t have a very big selection for protein powder, but Freddies is super convenient for me since I do most of my grocery shopping there. I’ve got some at whole foods before, but never really looked into it at TJs. You’ll have to tell me what you find!
This looks delicious!
I need more snacks like this. YUM!
And a fabulous ingredient list too! 🙂
I know, can’t find ingredient lists like that in grocery store bars!
