Hello!
The past two days have been super fun. Sunday was my second baby shower, which I’ll share in just a minute, and yesterday was my maternity photo shoot!
I don’t have any pictures to share right now, and I probably won’t get them for a little while too. I was actually a maternity model for a training session (one photographer teaching the other how to shoot maternity photos)… which means not only did I get a free shoot, but I get free photos too! The 2.5 hour shoot was extremely exhausting, but I know the photos are going to look amazing. I seriously cannot wait to see them. I definitely had to get outside of my comfort zone with the lack of clothes, but I guess the more pregnant you get, the less clothes you wear… maybe? There were lots of sheer fabrics and lace, super pretty stuff. I can not wait to see them.
Now onto the baby shower! So this is shower #2, here’s a link to shower #1.
My mother in law Debbie and aunt Victoria threw me the shower, with little duckies as the theme.
Gifts for everyone to take home.
A husband????? Yup, he dropped me off and said hello for a bit.
Working on the baby hold with their dog frosty. Totally mastered it.
A great spread of food with little baby socks attached to the table cloth, super cute idea.
Cupcakes, cookies and salad… all delicious.
Pinwheels, fruit and veggie crisps. The whole spread was yummy.
Everyone wrote or drew something on these fabric squares, which Debbie is going to make into a quilt.
Mine definitely did not look as cute as some of these.
So I’m glad there are more artistic people out there than me, or else he would just have a lot of words.
Instead there are cats!
We played a couple games. I was the winner of the first one, filling in a baby related word for every letter of the alphabet. I filled in 24 letters, with my favorite and most unique word being A for afterbirth… why didn’t anyone else think of that?
There was another word scramble game which I was horrible at. My mom rocked that one.
Next it was onto the gifts. Isn’t this the cutest bag? Definitely one to save!
Jacob’s aunt Becky made me a scrapbook for each month of Hunter’s first year… like all I have to do is put a few pictures in and it’s already super cute. Never in my life could I make something this adorable. She did all the hard work and it really looks amazing.
Owls for the nursery ~ our wet/dry bag for diapers. And we also received some more cloth diapers.
Owl bowl and plate…
Super cute owl and animal quilt made by grandma.
There were so many amazing gifts, I feel so blessed.
The shower was a blast, and it was great seeing some family I don’t’ get to see very often.
Just one more shower to go next weekend!
Are you crafty or like me, wish you were?
