And old recipe that got a facelift and retested in our household. Verdict? Still super delicious!!

They are made with a base of oats, whole wheat flour, peanut butter powder, peanuts, and shredded apple.

The base is topped with fruity jam, then sprinkled on top is the crumble mixture.

They are super kid-friendly, and are easy to make and I can't wait for you to try them!

    5 THINGS I’M LOVING RIGHT NOW

1. Can I start with my chickens? We’ve been bringing them into the back yard with us and it has been so dang fun! They’ve gotten even more friendly, and I trained them to come back to treats, so no chicken chasing. WIN!

2. More white space. I got back to regularly teaching group fitness classes last fall, and it really filled my cup, but I decided to take a step back from it and free up more space on my calendar and mental space.

3. Turmeric lattes! These slightly spicy/super warming drinks are becoming a daily thing (the recipe is in one of my reels!).

4. Progress on our home remodel. We’ve been dreaming of making our home (which we LOVE) even more of our style and this is the year it’s happening! The basement bathroom is now done (woohoo! - just need to style it) and we’re onto the girl’s room. We’re going to get to almost every space in our house (and I seriously can’t wait for the kitchen!).

5. Doing yard work. I think the fact that our youngest is almost 4 makes doing yard work actually possible now. Before it was really hard to do watching little ones, but now that the kids can easily hang out with me (and help) while I’m out there, the joy of being outside making spaces nicer is back!

    SAVE this HOMEMADE TACO SEASONING RECIPE!

After cleaning out my spice drawer, my taco seasoning needed to be restocked. Let’s make it together!

Mix together:

1/3 cup chili powder
1/3 cup cumin
1/3 cup garlic granules
1/4 cup dried oregano
1/4 cup paprika
1/4 cup onion powder
2 tbsp sea salt

To use, add 2 heaping tablespoons to cooked ground beef (or your fav ground meat), stir up, and enjoy taco night!

    I think if my husband had a complaint about me being a food blogger and constantly experimenting with recipes, it would be that I make something up and don’t write the recipe down, be loves it, and then we never have it again. 🤷🏻‍♀️

That wasn’t the case with this winner dinner. Made it, wrote it down, and made again and again.

And now you can make this simple, crazy delish ALMOND FLOUR BREADED CHICKEN too!

The breading is a mixture of almond flour & Parmesan cheese + simple spices you likely have on hand in your kitchen.

We use thinly sliced chicken so it’s quick cooking and crispy but not burnt.

    5 INGREDIENT BANANA BREAD!

There was a time when our family would go through 100 bananas a week, EASY.

The huge banana obsession passed, and now we’re in a more normal banana purchasing range 😆

Less banana eating means more bananas going brown which means banana bread!

And this 5 ingredient banana bread recipe couldn’t be easier.

We simply blend all the ingredients together in a blender, pour it into a loaf pan, add an extra banana on top for prettiness (totally not necessary though), and bake it up.

Perfectly soft. Sweet. And delicious!

    This tradition has to be one of my very favorites. The week between Christmas and New Years at the beach🌊

After a very full December, it’s just what we all needed.

Togetherness.
No agenda.
Rest.
Board games every day.
Hearing the ocean waves.
Every meal together.
Movies.
Laughter.

We had back home today. Full hearts, and ready to take a fresh ween on!

    HAPPY NEW YEAR! As we head into 2022, here's my message to you.

Prioritize what matters.

If eating healthier has been on your list year after year, make time to plan for it.  Make time to prep for it.  Become that person that makes healthy food choices by simply making the next one a good choice for you.

There is no wagon to fall off of.  You don't need to look a week ahead.  Just make your next sip & bite one that leaves you feeling GOOD.

The more often you make that choice, the easier it becomes.  The more you do it, the more it becomes who you are and what you simply do.

Instead of a diet, it becomes a lifestyle, and that's truly where the magic and simplicity is found.

    How do you like to burger it up?

Beef? Turkey? Veggie? Chicken?

With a bun? Lettuce wrap? Burger salad? Sweet potato buns?

I just love burgers because everyone can eat them how they like!

I'm a burger salad girl.. because I want those fries! Sweet potato, regular... waffle.  Give them all.

Making a burger salad makes it easier to load up on veggies, and honestly, that mean of burger salad + sweet potato fries leaves me feeling 100% satisfied.

    As I'm finishing up the last few edits on the January meal plan, I'm looking at these 4 ingredient tuna cakes (a bonus recipe in the meal plan), and think they make a GREAT lunch to meal prep for the week.

All you need are...

canned tuna
eggs
oat flour
and old bay seasoning

Mix, shape, cook, and boom, a healthy protein-packed meal is waiting for you!

Mango + avocado to top em is a must IMO.
