Hump day is here!! Always an exciting day not only because we’re half way through the week, but it’s also the day I teach sports conditioning at the Y.  Teaching makes me smile. ๐Ÿ™‚  I love it.

And I also love running.  Like I said yesterday in my pancake post, Joe and I set out for a chilling morning run yesterday. It was 50 degrees! That’s winter running right there. Long pants + a running turtleneck were both necessary. We went on the usual easy morning run of 2.3 miles in probably 20ish minutes.

I kept it light with no pressure.  A nice way to start the day.

Although it was 50 degrees (50 DEGREES!) yesterday morning, it still warmed up to almost 80 by afternoon.  We’ve still got a little summer left and I’m determined to hold onto every little bit of it.  What’s one thing that screams summer?

I just doesn’t get any better than sweet summer peaches does it?

Well, unless you take those sinfully sweet, perfectly juicy, plump peaches and transform them into the ultimate summer smoothie.

Double dare me to say it’s my favorite smoothie all summer. Better than a blackberry almond smoothie, blackberry oat smoothie, creamy green smoothie and orange strawberry banana smoothie

Okay, I really didn’t need a double dare. It’s just the truth.

  • 1 super ripe peach, chopped (skin left on)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (I used almond milk)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  1. Add everything to the blender and run on high for 1 minute, or until super creamy.
  2. Prepare for your mind to be blown. Mine was.

What is your favorite summer smoothie?  Are you holding onto anything from the summer?

I love the idea of cinnamon + peach. I had a bunch of peaches last week and they were soooo ripe. I wish I had thought to throw them in a smoothie!

That smoothie sounds so good! I am still holding on to fresh summer berries. I am currently obsessed with banana smoothies! i love the way frozen bananas make a smoothie taste thick like a milkshake!
