Let's Make Slow Cooker Chipotle Carne Asada!

A great way to flavor steak for your next burrito bowl is with this easy recipe!

We’re taking Chipotle’s steak flavors, and turning it into a super simple crockpot chipotle carne asada recipe.

All you need to do is prep the quick marinade, add the steak into it, and then pop the entire thing in the crockpot to cook hands-free!

steak, extra virgin olive oil, ancho chili powder, ground cumin, dried oregano, garlic, navel orange, limes, sea salt, black pepper

ingredients

      In a small bowl, add the olive oil, ancho chili powder, cumin, dried oregano, minced garlic, orange juice, lime juice, sea salt, and pepper. Stir to combine the wet ingredients together.

       Into a large bowl or large ziploc bag, add the steak and pour the mixture over. Allow it to marinade for at least 30 minutes, or overnight.

        Into a crockpot, add the steak and any remaining marinade. Cook on LOW for 6-7 hours, or high for 3-4 hours. Shred the beef, or place it on a cutting board into smaller pieces.

Build your carne asada bowl by adding the flavorful beef, cilantro lime brown rice, black beans, pico de gallo, green onions, fresh cilantro, sour cream, and cheese.
