Best Mocha Chocolate Chip Muffin Recipe

The pairing of chocolate with a hint of coffee (decaf if you’re making these for kiddos!!), is quite amazing!

These healthy muffins are naturally sweetened with a little maple syrup and applesauce, they are totally oil-free, are gluten-free, and still incredibly moist muffins!

INGREDIENTS: – almond flour – coconut flour – cocoa powder – baking soda – sea salt – apple sauce – maple syrup – egg – coffee – vanilla extract – mini chocolate chips

Step 1: In a large bowl combine the almond flour, coconut flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, sea salt.  Stir until thoroughly mixed, leaving no lumps.

STEP 2: Add the apple sauce, maple syrup, egg, coffee and vanilla and stir to combine. Stir in the chocolate chips.

STEP 3:  Add the muffin batter into 9 regular sized muffin tins.  Top each muffin with a few additional chocolate chips if desired. Bake for 22 mins!
