Let's Make Teriyaki Chicken on a Stick Recipe!

You’ll love how easy this teriyaki chicken on a stick recipe is!

After a simple teriyaki marinade, the chicken stripes go onto wooden skewers and bake in the oven.  You can grill them too!

This easy recipe is a go-to for appetizers or a full meal with veggies and rice!  Easy prep and easy cooking!

– boneless skinless chicken breast – teriyaki sauce for the marinade – wooden skewers

ingredients

Prepare the chicken by slicing each chicken breast into 1.5-inch or 2-inch strips. You could also use chicken tenders and skip the slicing part.

1

Add the chicken pieces into a large bowl and add the teriyaki sauce. Cover with a lid or plastic wrap. Marinade in the fridge for 1 hour if possible, or overnight.

2

About 30 minutes before you’d like to cook the chicken, place the bamboo skewers in a shallow dish with water. This step is especially important if you choose to grill your chicken.

3

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Thread the wood skewer through each chicken strip. Place chicken on a rimmed baking. Bake for 6-7 minutes, flip and cook another 3-4 minutes.

4

Serve with peanut sauce or soy sauce with loads of sesame seeds!  It goes great with rice and steamed veggies too.

This is a great recipe to grill! You’ll follow the preparation instructions through step 3, but instead of preheating an oven, you’ll want to heat your grill to medium heat.
