These za’atar chicken thighs are marinated with olive oil, za’atar, turmeric, salt, and pepper, then seared and baked until perfectly juicy. An easy, flavorful, high-protein chicken dinner that’s great for meal prep or busy weeknights!
In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, za’atar seasoning, turmeric, sea salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken thighs and toss until evenly coated in the marinade.
Allow the chicken to marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for even more flavor.
Remove the chicken from the refrigerator about 20 minutes before cooking so it can come closer to room temperature.
Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken thighs for 4-5 minutes per side until nicely browned.
Transfer the grill pan to a 400 degree F oven, or move the chicken to a baking sheet if needed. Bake the chicken and cook until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
Rest the chicken for 5 minutes before enjoying!
