Make these fun and easy peanut butter rice krispie turkey legs for your Thanksgiving dessert table! These tasty treats are flavored with pb and cocoa and made with 7 ingredients. It’s a great recipe to make for and with kiddos!
Before making the rice krispie mixture you want to prep the “bone”. In a microwave-safe bowl melt the white chocolate. You can also do this over a double boiler. Break the pretzel rod in half. Dip a mini marshmallow in the melted chocolate and press into the broken end of the pretzel stick on the edge. Repeat so that you have 2 mini marshmallows on the end of each pretzel rod. Place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet (or wax paper). Repeat with the remaining pretzel rods. Chill in the fridge to harden.
Now make the marshmallow mixture. In a large pot over medium heat melt the butter. Add the mini marshmallows and stir to melt into the butter. When almost fully melted, mix in the peanut butter.
When the mixture is fully melted together and smooth, pour in the cereal and cocoa powder. Mix fully.
Now create the turkey drumsticks. Use cooking spray or oil to oil the hands to prevent sticking. Work quickly with ¾-1 cup of the mixture at a time, shape it into a drumstick shape while adding a prepped pretzel rod into the center. Place on a sheet to chill to room temperature. Repeat until you’ve used all of the mixture. Makes about 10-16.
Re-melt the white chocolate if it’s cooled too much. Take the cooled drumstick and dip the pretzel end of the rod into the chocolate. Place on a lined sheet to chill until the chocolate sets. Serve and enjoy!
