Ingredients

Instructions

  • You can begin by making your homemade melted chocolate by heating the cacao butter in the microwave for 2-3 minutes on high until fully melted. Alternatively, you can use a double boiler. Stir in the coconut oil, maple syrup, cocoa powder, sea salt, and vanilla extract once the cacao butter is melted.
  • Drop all the dried fig pieces into the melted chocolate. Stir to coat each piece fully. Use a fork to lift a dried fig piece out of the melted chocolate and place it on a parchment paper or wax paper lined baking sheet or cutting board. Repeat with all fig pieces, making sure to have space between each piece. Optional but delicious, sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on the top for a nice contrast.
  •  Chill in the fridge for 20-30 minutes until set! Keep bites in the fridge and enjoy!
