Decadent yet naturally sweet dark chocolate-covered dried fig bites made with simple, low-sugar ingredients - a no-bake treat that’s easy to whip up and perfect for snacking or dessert!
You can begin by making your homemade melted chocolate by heating the cacao butter in the microwave for 2-3 minutes on high until fully melted. Alternatively, you can use a double boiler. Stir in the coconut oil, maple syrup, cocoa powder, sea salt, and vanilla extract once the cacao butter is melted.
Drop all the dried fig pieces into the melted chocolate. Stir to coat each piece fully. Use a fork to lift a dried fig piece out of the melted chocolate and place it on a parchment paper or wax paper lined baking sheet or cutting board. Repeat with all fig pieces, making sure to have space between each piece. Optional but delicious, sprinkle a little flaky sea salt on the top for a nice contrast.
Chill in the fridge for 20-30 minutes until set! Keep bites in the fridge and enjoy!
