Healthy Country Breakfast Sausage Recipe

Better than the store-bought version, and made with ingredients you can fully recognize, my healthy country breakfast sausage recipe is a breakfast staple! This easy recipe mixes together in minutes, and leave you with protein packed, flavorful pork sausage the whole family will adore! All you need for your own sausage at home are 7 simple ingredients that can easily be found at a regular grocery store.

  • In a small bowl combine the sage, sea salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and dried oregano and mix together.
  • To a large bowl add the ground pork and the sausage seasonings. Mix the pork mixture using your hands until the seasonings are just mixed with the pork. Shape sausage mixture into 6-8 patties.
  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the sausage patties into the hot pan and cook for 8 minutes on the first side, and then 5-7 minutes the second, or until the meat is fully cooked through and no longer pink in the center. If you are using a smaller pan cook the patties in small batches to ensure there is enough space.
