Healthy Sausage and Broccoli Breakfast Quiche Recipe

Let's make a delicious sausage and broccoli quiche at home! This recipe is simple to throw together using broccoli, chicken sausage, and cheddar cheese, along with eggs for a big protein boost. The whole family will love this one for breakfast, brunch, or dinner!

Ingredients 

  • 1 whole wheat quiche crust
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 chicken sausages, fully cooked and diced
  • 1/2 cup cooked broccoli, diced
  • 1/2 cup green onion, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated and divided
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan, grated

Instructions 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare the quiche crust in a 9-inch pie pan (or use a polish pottery pie pan like I used!).
  • In a medium bowl, whisk the milk, eggs, sea salt, and pepper together.
  • Into the unbaked pie shell, add the sausage, broccoli, green onions, and half of the cheddar cheese. Pour the egg mixture over the top, and then add the remaining cheddar cheese and all the parmesan.
  • Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until the filling is set and your crust is golden brown. If your crust is browning too quickly, you can cover the edge of the crust with foil. Allow your baked quiche to cool for 15-20 minutes before slicing into it.
