Peppermint Date Hot Chocolate Recipe with Collagen

By Heather
Nothing beats a warm and cozy mug of hot cocoa on a chilly day. If you’re looking for a better hot chocolate recipe, this collagen date hot chocolate is for you! It’s made with simple ingredients, no refined sugar, and uses dates to sweeten it! You’ll love the extra 13 grams of protein in this from the chocolate collagen.

Ingredients

Instructions

  • Soak the dates in boiling hot water for 10 minutes to soften.
  • After 10 minutes, add the milk, dates, peppermint extract, chocolate collagen, cocoa powder, and mint leaves into a blender. Blend until smooth, and then pour through a fine mesh sieve into a small saucepan. Warm over medium heat until heated to your liking.
  • Pour into a big mug (we love these vintage glass mugs!) and top with coconut-whipped cream (or vegan marshmallows), a shaving of dark chocolate and fresh mint!

Notes

PS – Wanna make it a mocha? Add a shot of espresso and enjoy!
