Tortellini Caprese Skewers Recipe

Tortellini caprese skewers are the perfect appetizer that you can make ahead of time!  Cooked tortellini, sweet and delicious grape tomatoes, mini mozzarella balls, and fresh basil give you the classic caprese salad flavors, but in an easy grab-and-enjoy form.  Add a balsamic glaze if you’d like, and be sure to use the best of the best for this easy and fresh appetizer!

  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the fresh tortellini in and cook according to package instructions (about 3-4 minutes). When the pasta is done cooking, drain and rinse it with cold water. Add to a bowl and toss with the olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • To build the tortellini caprese salad skewers, add tomatoes, tortellini pasta, basil leaf, and mozzarella cheese. Mix up the order and have fun building this delicious appetizer using more grape tomatoes, or other items on each skewer.
  • When all the skewers are prepared, add them to a serving platter. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar if you’d like!
