noun

(Psychology) the tendency to arrange one’s immediate surroundings, such as a work station, to create a place where one feels secure, comfortable, or in control

A home organization to-do list 30 lines long?  My mind constantly thinking about what needs to be done next?  Me actually c-l-e-a-n-i-n-g?

Yes, I think it’s official hit!  I’m definitely feeling the pressure of just 3 months to go until Hunter arrives.  Three months may sound like a long time, but it’s been flying by faster than I would have thought it could.

I’m so glad our hardwood floor project is all done.  One BIG check off the old list.

A little check we marked this weekend…

A picture wall project!  This was a fun one I had been wanting to do for a long time.  My inspiration?  Kath’s basement.

We started with this wall which looks in between our kitchen and dining room.  A few pictures/shelves, Stoner’s food dish (so Joe can’t get to it) and lots of plugs/knobs on the wall.

(yikes Stoner’s scratch pad looks really beat up!)

We had picked up 5 different pictures frames a couple months ago.

Favorite places to find cheap pictures frames? JoAnns, Ikea and Michaels.  Craft stores always have huge sales on frames and we tend to only spend between $5-15 per frame.

Once I finally picked out 5 pictures for the frames I had Costco print them, then I picked them up the next day.  After I drew out the plan and placed the pictures in the frames, Jacob got to work hanging!

A little bit different now!

I love how there are so many more pictures of family and fun times on the wall now.  Fishing trips, snow shoeing and my polka dot themed bridal shower up in Seattle.

We even found the J and H at Michaels which just so happens to match the curtains I made in our office.  Really, they’re an exact match!

First Stoner wasn’t too happy about it all.

But then he just continued to eat and all was well again.  Change can be hard. 😉

We love our new wall!

What did you do this weekend?  Tackle any home projects?

Hope Monday treats you well!  I’m off to fold + put away laundry… before work on a Monday… who am I?

wow, what a huge difference! I love it! 90% of the frames in my home came from michaels! They’re decent prices and they usually have a great selection.

I can’t imagine how fast these last 3 months will fly by!

Initials are just so much fun 🙂 We’ll be doing letters in Hunter’s room too I think.
