Hey, hope you all are doing well!
We had a little babymoon this weekend. And it was kiddo free too. Of course, the obligatory ‘on the road’ photos I always take.
We stayed on the Oregon coast in Seaside for a night. It was a bit chilly Saturday evening, but so beautiful! No rain and pretty clear skies. Score for February at the beach!
I was thankful to not go into labor while we were there. While it’s only about 1.5-2 hours away, it still would not have been a fun ride back home had baby girl decided to come.
Sunday we watched the superbowl with my family. Three little Seahawk fans in their finest.
We had a fun time watching our team annihilate the Brocos. 🙂
Now a little recap of last week’s food and fitness!
Monday – chickpea and kale peanut soup over rice
Tuesday – pasta night ~ ground lamb, kale, whole wheat penne and red sauce
Wednesday – bean + cheese burritos with homemade whole wheat tortilla + steamed broccoli and roasted sweet potato rounds
Thursday – leftovers
Friday – cheeses, sausage, homemade crusty bread and pear – at home date night!
Saturday – dinner out at Seaside Brewing ~ I had a thai chicken salad, Jacob had fish and chips
Sunday – lots of afternoon Superbowl snacking at my parents house – how cute are the little footballs (chocolate covered peanut butter filled pretzels) and the layered dip football field my mom made?! She’s so creative.
Fitness for last week:
Monday – body pump + fitness yoga
Tuesday – walked to starbucks with Hunter in the stroller
Wednesday – body combat
Thursday – sculpt and tone
Friday – body pump + fitness yoga
Saturday – family walk to the park in the morning, then lots of walking at the beach that evening
Sunday – lots of walking around the beach
All of the extra walking was definitely more noticeable this time being at the beach. I’d get more random contractions and even made us stop a couple times so I could rest when she’d be pushing uncomfortably on my belly. It’s funny how walking alone can make me out of breath even with all the exercise I do.
This week I’m teaching my last body combat class on Wednesday. It’s soooooooo fun, but the intensity and impact is just a bit too much now that I’m full term.
How was your weekend? What was your favorite meal you had last week, or food you ate during the superbowl?

You have a beautiful family! That pasta dish looks amazing also!!
I love your little football peanut butter pretzels!
Love that homemade crusty bread! So impressed! Your pics are giving me some new ideas–thank you!!
Lots of walking around the beach sounds like the perfect workout! Now I’ll be dreaming of a beach vacation…
We did our usual Super Bowl tacos for dinner last night. It’s just not the Super Bowl with Seth’s homemade salsa and guac!
Super Bowl tacos, yummmm!
Beach walking sure is a pretty great way to relax and exercise at the same time. 🙂
aw! Glad yall got away! Those little footballs are perfect! Much prettier than my strawberries 🙂
