The good news: the 30 day plan will work out for me because I’m about 35ish days from my group certification testing day.
The bad news: I’m already behind on my reading. To stay on track I need to finish the first section by Friday. Ouch! Lots to read and study! Plus I need to remember to get CPR/First Aid in too sometime.
I plan to share a bit about each section as I go along. I figured some of you would find it interesting, plus it would help me recall what I’m learning too.
I’m off to teach the chest section this morning.
Have a great Wednesday!

Good luck with all that learning!
Good luck! I’m very excited for you, and I look forward to your updates! 🙂
Good! Means I need to stay on track to give you guys the updates.
Ugh- I totally remember trying to get all that done! Do you have a practical test too? Best of luck girl! I know you’ll rock it
Yup practical and written. I’m not too worried about the practical, more so if I need to know all the different muscles/bone stuff.
Yay! that’s exciting. 🙂 I’m also thinking about becoming a certified group fitness instructor. I already teach a class at my University’s rec center (you don’t have to have a certification, just CPR) but i’ve been wanting to teach at the gym i work at. Who are you going through? ACE?
Good luck! 😀
– Sharelle
That’s very cool Sharelle! I’m going through AFAA, but there are a lot of different certification programs. AFAA is the one the gym I want to work at likes. AFAA inclues a practicle exam too instead of just written. I’d ask what their preference is at the gym you want to teach at to help you choose.
So excited for you!!
