Hi, I’m Heather. Have we met? Since your reading this, then probably. 😉
You probably already know I’m kind of in love with lists and crossing things off them. A big long Sunday to-do list can be so gratifying. Rarely do I ever finish an entire list (too many ideas???), but I’ve come close.
Oh yeah, you already know I’m pregnant, so I’ve got that crazy nesting bug going on too.
List lover + nesting mama = long days leaving me t.i.r.e.d.
Does it make me stop? Nope.
Does it make my husband upset that I do so much? Sometimes yes…
Will I stop? Heck no I’d go crazy.
Did I come up with a plan to still get stuff done, check off a list and not wipe my preggo self out? YES!
There are so many little things that I want to get done before our little guy gets here, and when I looked at my babybump app a couple days ago and saw that I had 70+ days to go before my due date, I worried there was no time! Today this is what I see…
60 days to tackle tons of little things. Open up the spreadsheet to see what I’ll be doing every day. 60 Day Neat Home Challenge Spreadsheet
Each item on my list should take me anywhere between 5-15 minutes a day. Nothing too overwhelming, but a little bit a day will be A LOT in 60 days.
You could think of it as spring cleaning, or just getting the house a bit more organized. I’ve included cleaning, organizing and even some outdoor yard work. Hopefully this rainy Washington weather cooperates when I get to those days.
This challenge isn’t just for me though, it’s for you too.
Yes I said YOU! I created the 60 day neat home challenge in a format you can modify and use yourself. You can also just print the PDF version with all my to-do’s on it, or go into the excel version and customized it to work for you and your family. Hey, maybe even use some of my ideas cause, take it from me, coming up with 60 things was tricky! There’s an extra row at the bottom for anything you think of to add as extra… just because 🙂
About every 10 days I’ll post an update of how things are going with my little challenge (gotta keep myself honest and motivated!), and also any links to YOUR 60 day neat home challenge blog post. If you don’t have a blog but still want to participate, just email me (gethealthywithheather@comcast.net) a picture or two and what all you accomplished on your list during that time frame. We’ll keep each other motivated!!
Today is day 1 for me, so what will I do? Dust the tower which holds a lot of my polish pottery on it right when I get home from work!
AND I will cross it off (of course) too. A good feeling 🙂
What do you think?!?! A little spring cleaning/organizing/fun having all together? Just 5-15 minutes a day. Not too overwhelming right? I hope not!
I’m super excited about this and feel like its going to be a really good challenge. I hope you’ll join me!
And because it’s fun….
When I was making my list around #40 I got kind of stuck. Asking the hubby didn’t help either. His suggestion to add? Just rest every day. HA! Husband… have you met me? Guess not 🙂
Who’s joining me? Did you catch Hunter’s nursery progress yesterday? The mural is all done!
Happy Wednesday all!!
Heather

Hey Heather! I always loved the nesting stage…it feels so good to get everything ready! Sounds like you have a great plan. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, hope you get some sunny days soon!
Jeana
This is such a great idea!!! I love it and definitely plan to follow my own version of your 60 day challenge. I’m only 15 1/2 weeks and am already have that “so much to do so little time” feeling. Plus I’m so tired all the time I’m having trouble getting my normal daily tasks done, much less anything additional. I have found picking one or two small tasks to do each day is a lot less overwhelming than making a list of ten tasks and then seeing only one crossed off at the end of the day. I love how organized you are.
Great idea! I should try it, I’m kind of lazy when it comes to cleaning but 15 minutes or a little more a day, I can handle!!
Hi Heather! You are beautiful, glowing pregnant mama – your little guy will be here before you know it. When is your due date? You’re probably due close to the time my little guy turns 1… bittersweet! (Not to mention my big girl turns 4 next month – yeesh)
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I’ve had the chance to poke around yours and I’ll definitely be following. Mind me asking how you found me?!
I need something like this like whoa. My only excuse for not keeping up with cleaning other than time is I simply HATE doing it. I keep begging for a cleaning service!
I am in love with lists as well and I loved them when I was pregnant. I probably annoyed my husband with all the things I needed to get done before the baby was here but it just helped me to stress less!
I have to create something like this for my home. It is seriously needing a tidying up!
FYI your badge code isn’t working for me
Oh no! Did you paste it into the HTML writing area or in the visual writing area?
Hey Lindsay, the badge is all fixed now. Thanks for letting me know it didn’t work!
I love this idea! I’m 23 weeks and am starting to feel the anxiety of getting ready for the baby- this should really help!
Great time to get started for you!
