When do you like to workout?
Do you get your sweat on first thing in the morning?
Are you a devoted lunchtime workout warrior?
Evening exercises?
For me it really depends a lot on what I’ve got going on that day, and also how I feel. I prefer morning workouts for many reasons…
- I start my morning out right
- Gives me endless energy for that day
- No worries about something getting in my way later in the day
- It won’t take time away from hubs + me time
- Did I mention the energy I get?
Yeah, the energy is the main reason I love exercising first thing in the morning. If I go more than a couple days without at least a little morning movement I begin to drag and (gasp!) get grumpy. And no body wants that. If you also want to raise your energy levels, utilizing products like CBD UK are key.
It’s not really that I don’t have time to workout some mornings, it’s that I’m either feeling lazy, slept in a bit longer or am taking a rest day.
Rest days are necessary so I won’t mess with them.
Those other 2 excuses up there (lazy + sleepy), well they aren’t going to get in the way anymore!
For those days when I’m fighting my excuses, but know I need a mood-boosting, quick sweat sesh I’ll come back to this 9 minute morning workout (or really any time of the day).
9 Minute Mood-Boosting Morning Workout
Grab a watch or gymboss because every 30 seconds you are going to switch to the next move right away without stopping. There are 6 exercises. You’ll run through all 6, ,then repeat 2 more times for a total of 3 rounds.
Since they’re just 30 second intervals you can really push ourself to the max! You will sweat in just 9 minutes. Promise.
*A note on warming up – although this workout is just 9 minutes long, it is important to properly warm up your body. Injury is no fun. Take at least 5 minutes to dynamically warm up + allow for a cool down and stretch at the end.
The moves…
- High knees with arms straight up in the air
- Football shuffle to the right, drop down to the ground, get up and shuffle to the left… repeat drop down going from side to side
- Jump lunges with arms straight out to the side
- Pike press –> jump tucks
- Fast power jumping jacks
- Banana crunches

This 9 minute workout woke me up, got me to sweat and now I’m happy as a clam.
I’ve got my CPR + First Aid certification most of the day today, then on Sunday I’m getting my group fitness cert! Wish me luck
