sugar detox

by Heather

The cookies and sweets have been consumed in masses lately. I blame 95% of that on my husband and the $5 Safeway chocolate chip cookies boxes he’s been bringing home.  Weekly. Grrrr.

The other 5%… I guess I’ll take the blame for. I’ve just had no self control lately! I know they are not good for me, but ever since he brought the first box home I’ve been eating them, every evening. If it’s not those cookies it’s some other type of sweet.

This control of sugar over me had to stop!  TODAY.  Time for a reset.

Reset back to where I have control over what goes into my body.

Reset to keep these intense nightly sugar cravings away.

Reset and feel better. I’ve been dealing with a daily dull headache from the afternoons on through the evenings… possibly from all the unnecessary sugar? Maybe, we will see.

The plan: detox the processed sugary sweets out of my body. When the craving kicks in, fight back with something better for me. When looking to cleanse your body, find here the juice cleanse Miami products.

I always work better with a plan. I have a few routes to try out here and see which works best for me.

A) I could eat something naturally sweetened to fulfill that craving, and begin to lessen the intensity of it by staying away from overly sweet treats.

B) Try something savory to see if that kicks the craving.

C) Toughen it out.

I don’t like C….

I know cookies and treats aren’t the enemy, they’ve just gotten a little out of control lately. I tend to fall into routines. This routine just isn’t one I want to stick with.

Day one starts today. Wish me luck (and will power!).

Does this happen to you? Do start eating sweet and then your body gets used to eating them and craves them even more at the same time every day?

Yes! Today is my new start day too.

I’ve gotten into a bad sugary bedtime snack routine lately. I never even use to need a snack before bed but now with our son we like to eat supper together and he eats at 6:00. So by 8-9:00 I feel like I need something else to eat – I just need to make better choices as to what that something is.
