How was your 4th? Yesterday was the first time Jacob and I stayed home and just relaxed together for the holiday. Turns out we had a great show right from our front and back yard!
I’m not sure if I’m ready for the work week to start up again. It’s always a challenge to get back into a groove after a long vacation. My groove’s going to change just a bit today.
What’s different you ask?
Biking to work! Some ebike brands now offer electric bike finance on all their models so you can buy now pay later.
After all the biking in Leavenworth I decided it was time to start riding in to work again! 6 miles in, 6 miles back. I think it’ll take me about 30 minutes but I’ll give myself a lot more time this first ride in.
Speaking of riding, I rode on Sunday a tiny little bit down to the farmers market. I finally made it there. I know I’ve talked about going a few times and something always came up. Not any more.
I filled my backpack and returned home with a bounty of fresh fruit and veggie beauties.
My loot ~
Romaine
Swiss chard
Russet potatoes
Yams
Zucchini
Cucumber
Asparagus
Beefsteak tomato
Strawberries
What are some of your favorite farmer’s market picks?
There was a new stand there called the hummus stop filled with tons of hummus flavors made by 2 young guys. I thought that was such a good idea! They had some good samples too.
Getting back into your work week groove too? Got any great tips?
For me spending an hour in the kitchen yesterday prepping a bit and making a big dinner last night with lots of left overs for the week should make my life easier.
Plus meal planning on the long drive back was a life saver when I scurried into the grocery store Sunday morning.
Here’s to a great week!

Wow, you got some great finds! I’m jealous! I love farmer’s markets. We don’t have too many good ones here.
The strawberries were my favorite find 🙂
I really need to get to a Farmer’s Market – the one that used to be around me is no longer and it’s breaking my heart! Your whole haul looks absolutely amazing!
That would break my heart too!
I feel absolutely VIBRANT from just LOOKING at all of that fresh produce! Gosh, I bet eating all of that will make you feel INCREDIBLE! 🙂
It sure does!
I seriously need to go to my farmer’s market!!
So awesome that you can ride your bike to work! Enjoy! Great farmers market finds too. The asparagus and strawberries look extra good. I’m always on the lookout for peaches and organic/local meats for the man.
Yes peaches are the best… I totally should have picked some up!
