These past few weeks, really months, have been a mixture of excitement, let down and comfort.
Excitement for Jacob’s new full time job. He began it a week and a half ago and already loves every minute of it. It’s a blessing we’ve been praying for. He’s been working to move from his previous part time job to full time for a very long time now. It wasn’t until we really began getting connected back with God through a new church and care group a few months ago that we really were able to just let it be and rely on God. It was tough, but ultimately He has control over what happens.
There were many months of let down leading up to this. Jobs applied for and denied, interviews gone to with no job offer and the scary feeling of not knowing what our future holds was really tough. Tough for Jacob and tough for me to see him go through it.
Then after a week of multiple interviews, Jacob being sought out by a great company and offered multiple jobs, the comfort set in. He got the job. Every day he comes home excited with great things to tell me.
Plus he just looks so good dressed up. 🙂
The comfort of knowing he’ll be able to be the provider for us once Hunter gets here is a relief, for both of us. It’s what he wants, what I want and obviously what God wants too, since he made this happen for us.
We just feel continuously blessed with everything He’s doing for us, not only in our outside lives, but inside both of us too.
What have you been blessed with lately?
Heather

This is such a wonderful post! THANK YOU for sharing what God is doing in your lives…..the struggles and the growth. Looks like God is looking out for Hunter in many ways, preparing for his coming and his upbringing before he arrives! I am so happy to hear about Jacob’s job and how much he enjoys it, too! God is AWESOME!!
He sure is Ruth
God is truly amazing 🙂 So happy to hear things are working out and you are able to trust in God! Totally unrelated…but we are naming our little boy Jacob!
It’s a great name!
What a great blog post!! We do have an awesome God. I really want to move back to the US so have to trust that God will bring the right job for Bruce to move into. Its hard to know if making the move is the right thing for our family or if its just my desire. So for now I just wait and hope.
It was really cool to know that this job was totally Gods work, just how it all came together and wouldn’t have just been luck, it was meant to happen. I hope that happens for you and Bruce too. It would be pretty great if you were back in the US!
That’s so awesome! Congrats to you both! 🙂
I am so happy for you and your family! This is great news! Even better that he actually enjoys it! God rewarded you beyond belief for beings so patient!
Congrats to Jacob!
Thanks Jentry, we definitely feel very rewarded 🙂
That’s fantastic news…truly trusting in God is what brings me to comfort and contentment no matter what. I’m in the process of finding a job, too, and it can be very stressful. I just remind myself that HE has a plan for me and everything will happen as it’s meant to!
Danica, he definitely does have a plan. Keep on trusting and he’ll reveal it to you 🙂
I’m so glad that things have been moving along for you guys and all because the power of God.
I’m a true believer in reaching out towards God not only when you need him but just on an everyday basis. There’s not one day where I don’t thank him and I’m so glad he’s blessed you and Jacob!
Lisa, it’s definitely easy to remember to reach out to him when things are tough, but both Jacob and I have been working at thanking him everyday, even when things are great. It definitely makes me feel closer and more connected to him.
that is SO wonderful, heather!! God is good! it’s not always easy while we’re going through it, but in the end, it’s worth it. 🙂 i’m so happy for you guys!
Thanks Ashley :). And yes he is, you’ve just gotta trust that he has a plan
