My lack of posts can only mean one thing. I was gone! Three days away from home on a lake surrounded by really tall trees is a nice place to be.
But I always love coming home.
I hoped to come home to nice weather so I could spend some time cleaning up and weeding my garden. Luck was on my side!
When we left on Friday I only had 1 tiny asparagus growing. Today there are 3!
Broccoli and brussel sprouts are doing great. Right now they’re the power house in my garden. So far so good.
The leeks just look like chives. I hope they keep growing!
My peas are looking pretty sad. They keep getting eaten by bugs.
I have some lettuce that I started inside from seeds that’s beginning to look like actual lettuce. New lettuce seeds I planted are just beginning to grow too.
The arugula seeds are growing quite nicely too.
More flowers keep showing up on the strawberry plant!
I’m really good at growing mint. But who isn’t?
I planted a bunch of seeds in pots, but they’re very slow to start.
The kale that I transplanted from the ground (where the asparagus is now) hasn’t changed much. I have decided it’s time to eat it. Why grow it and not eat it? I have this problem of not picking much of what I plant. It’s like I’m always saving it.
I’m going to try and focus on picking more of what I plant. While the kale is still pretty tiny, I’m not sure if it’s going to grow much larger. Since I planted some new kale seeds I might as well begin to eat what I have.
Come on back tomorrow to see what I turned my kale into!

Ah, I’m jealous of your garden! I can’t wait to have a house and a garden. 🙂
It’s a lot of work, but fun too 🙂
