I love short intense workouts. Do you? I hope so, because I have a great one to share today! A couple of weeks ago I subbed a class called body blast. It’s just 30 minutes long, which means the intensity needs to be high to get a great workout in. I think I worked them pretty well… we all had puddles of sweat at our feet. Always a good sign!
For the workout I used my interval timer set for 40 seconds of work with 10 seconds of recovery for 6 times. Each round was 5 minutes long with 2 exercises to alternate through. We went through 4 different rounds, giving us 20 minutes of actual work. Including the warm up, cool down + stretch and an extra 30-60 seconds between each round, the half hour went by super fast.
Let me know if you try it out!

Thanks to everyone who entered the ips prize pack giveaway and shared their favorite healthy snack. I loved reading all the ideas and it helped me out at the store coming up with ideas. The two winners (randomly selected) are Ellie and Madeline! Ladies, send me an email (heather.englund@comcast.net) with your address and I’ll get it forwarded to ips.

What are you doing new today? Any fun plans for the 4th? Have a fantastic day!

I love interval workouts and this looks like a good one! I was at boot camp the other day and suggested plank jacks and no one knew what they were! Even the trainer! I was shocked as I love them!
So excited to be chosen! And this workout looks great. Enjoy your run!
