Yesterday was an exciting day.  I got to dress up in crazy 80’s workout gear with fellow instructors.

Meet another pregnant instructor.

And rocked out to a new Body Pump release.

We were onto release 80, so an 80’s theme seemed just right.

Records, albums and all the bright neon color everywhere looked amazing.

My first class I taught was with Andrew, the best Zumba instructor out there.  He just couldn’t stop shaking his booty in those short shorts!

In that workout I taught squats, back, biceps, shoulders and abs.

Andrew taught warm up, chest, triceps, lunges (we were getting air born!) and cool down.

Then later that day I taught with Kim.  She’s pretty awesome.

Basically what I taught with Andrew was reversed, so I had to be ready for every single track in the release.

It was a such a fun and energetic launch,  but boy was I tired after teaching 2 classes!

Every Body Pump classes follows the same format:

Warm Up
Squats
Chest
Back
Triceps
Biceps
Lunges
Shoulders
Abs
Cool Down

Definitely the most challenging tracks for me were triceps (tri push ups!), shoulders (so many push ups!) and lunges (jumpin u!p).  Challenging is a good thing though, it helps make changes to the body.

Want to read about a previous launch?  Check it out launch 79 here.  I hope to do a more in depth post on what body pump is really all about soon, so if you have any specific questions about it, please leave them in the comments and I’ll be sure to answer them.

Today I plan to go for a quick run on my lunch break.  It’s been beautiful weather here, hovering in the 50s and sunny.  Perfect running weather!

Hope your Tuesday treats you well!

Fun! We did an 80’s theme for our RPM 53 launch last week. This release just had that 80’s vibe.
