I skipped out on the running club’s 3 miler tonight. Sometimes you’ve just gotta listen to your body and take some time to rest. Tonight was one of those nights.
My mom showed up as planned ready for an active evening of…
- day 2 of the 200 sit up challenge
- run to the run (1.5 miles)
- then do the actual run (3 miles)
- then run back home (1.5 miles)
- Catch all that?
Yeah, this girl was just plain tired so I did the 200 sit ups sets with her and she drove to the run. Go mama, glad you still went!
Here’s what we did for week 1, day 2 of the 200 sit up challenge.
DAY 2
REST 60 SECONDS BETWEEN EACH SET (LONGER IF REQUIRED)SET 1: 15
SET 2: 18
SET 3: 15
SET 4: 15
SET 5: max (at least 18)This time I didn’t let my mama beat me. We both maxed out at 110 sit ups. Slow and steady and now my core is tight, tight, tight!
Did you miss Day 1 of the 200 sit up challenge? Check it out and follow along!
Jacob is bottling his 3rd batch of beer right now, which means 1 week from now we’ll have a new variety to try out!
The rest of the evening will be filled with, well rest. And a glass of wine… because this girl had a very long day.
I’ve got something extra special (and extra delicious) to share tomorrow… make sure to come on back.
Any guesses?

Great job on the sit-ups! That’s awesome that you and your mom work out together.
I know, I love that she does everything with me 🙂
Great job on the sit-ups challenge! Glad you listened to your body when it needed some rest though…
Thanks Andrea 🙂 after some rest I’m ready to go go go!
I am so jealous! 100 already! I think I maxed at 20…haha! I decided to do all the programs at once and turn it into a mini-workout. Squats, sit ups, push ups, dips. Should be interesting!
That’s such a good idea! I didn’t know they had a dips one now… Hmmm gotta check that out. Keep it up!
