I am back! It feels like I’ve been away for much longer than the 9 days we were actually gone. Between camping and a weekend family farewell party for my brother who is being deployed with the air force, time has just been flying. We had such a fun camping trip at the Oregon coast. It was Hunter’s first time camping and I think he loved it. Here are some pictures from the trip!
On our way to the Beverly Beach!
Hunter checking out our campsite.
First time using the Kelty carrier – such a great one – lots of room for Hunter and comfy for Jacob.
Burrito dinner.
Hunter did not liking napping in the pack n play, so he either napped in the car, in our arms or on a blanket on the ground.
Ninja baby.
From the camp ground you just walk under the overpass and you’re on the beach.
Happy guys. Oregon beaches = windy but beautiful.
Lunch at the Rogue public house.
He is definitely my boy – loving pickles!
We watched and listened to the sea lions in Newport.
The set up with our pop up camper.
Love them.
Wandering through the open camp site spots.
Every morning Hunter would wake around 6am, see us and cry, so I’d pull him into bed with us to sleep a bit longer.
Hunter and I ate delicious whole wheat yogurt pancakes with blueberries in them every morning for breakfast.
At Moe’s in Lincoln City for clam chowder.
The camp ground had an awesome playground with a big kid and little kid area. We went there every day to let Hunter burn off energy, climb around and slide down the slides on his belly.
It rained one day, but that didn’t stop Hunter from having a fun time playing inside the camper.
Camp fires every night.
Whale watching in Depot Bay.
It was such a beautiful day there + we actually did get to see a whale!
Another day in Newport at the Rogue Brewery + downtown for some ice cream after.
Beach play.
Forgot to bring the bucket and shovel to the beach, so instead we scooped up bark chips.
We were camping from Saturday – Thursday. Sad day when we had to pack up and leave!
I’m so glad we took Hunter on his first camping trip. It went so well, and makes me excited to go camping again! With that said, it did feel very nice to get home again. We can relax so much more at home instead of having to chase around our little walker!
I am hoping to get back on a more regular blogging schedule, but I have a feeling it’ll take me a week or so to do that. This week is wacky. Today instead of teaching cycle, I have jury duty (waa waaaaa). I hope I only have to go in once this week!
Anything new and exciting going on with you? Did you have a great weekend and father’s day? Do you have a favorite place you like to camp?
