Breakfast has been, and always will be my favorite meal of the day.  Breakfast foods are comforting, delicious and usually pretty easy to make.  Lately my breakfasts haven’t been too fancy, but they’ve sure been tasty!  Classic Heather breakfasts if you will.

First up, a meal I’ve eaten many, many times.  I can’t even count how many times because it’s just that good and I put it on repeat constantly.

It’s gotta be cocoa-banana custard oats.  The sweet bananas paired with cocoa is amazing.  Then adding a dollop of peanut butter and… well it’s kind of obvious cocoa, PB and banana were meant to go together.

I love adding an egg into my oats.  It gives me more staying power and adds a creamy finish to the oats.  It’s one you really have to try yourself!

WARNING:  The addiction rate to these oats are high. Smile

Another simple and easy breakfast I’ve been loving lately are scrambled eggs.  Protein has been a must in the mornings.  It seems to keep my nausea away the longest, plus I hate when I’m hungry an hour later.  I need my protein power!

This meal is super easy.  First scramble 2 eggs with a pinch of sea salt + pepper added.  Easy peasy.

Then toast your bread.  I’ve got Dave’s Killer Bread here.  Always a good choice.

Next mix together 1 tbsp hummus + 1 tbsp nutritional yeast + 1 tbsp water.  This gives you your sauce.

Drizzle it over the eggs + toast.  Proceed to shovel eggs onto toast then take a big bite.  Nutritional yeast adds a cheezy flavor to your sauce, but it’s WAY easier than making a cheese sauce.  Plus it’s good for you Smile

Protein is a must in the mornings! My classic breakfast is oatmeal for sure. I love the eggs as a ‘custard’ idea. I’ll have to try that as well as the chocolate banana custard oats! 🙂
