Summer is my favorite time of year. Mainly because I get to spend so much time outside with less (not none) rain. What do you like to do during the summer? Chelsey’s here to share her favorite warm weather activities. I love each and ever one of them too!
Hi everyone! My name is Chelsey and I blog over at Clean Eating Chelsey. I’m honored that Heather asked me to write a guest post for her while she spends some quality time with her new little man.
It’s hard for me to believe that it is already May and the weather is warming up once again. I swear I say this every day, but I have no idea where the year is going! Wasn’t it just January like yesterday? No? I sure feel like it. With the summer months comes my favorite time of the year. I love being outside, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the warm weather. I have a few favorite activities I look forward to each year that I’m excited to get going on!
Farmers Markets – The epitome of summer for me is the Farmers Market. Each Saturday after Breakfast, I grab my reusable bags and head to some of my favorite markets. I love being able to talk with the vendors and support their farms each and every week. To find a farmers market near you, you can visit this website!
Walks Outside – My dog, Charlie, loves to go on walks. If his leash so much as jingles, he jumps and whines until I finally bring him along on a walk. We typically go on a 30-45 minute walk at least four times a week, and in the summer it’s even more frequent.
Weekend Getaways – Every summer, the Husband and I join some of our family for weekends in Michigan. It’s always a blast to lay out in the sun, go tubing in the lake, go for walks, and have bonfires. It’s one of my favorite parts of summer!
Grilling – Is there anything better than summer foods? I think not! (although I think I say this about every season) In the summer, I hate turning on the oven – I’m not a fan of being hot when I’m inside at all! Almost every single night I bust out the grill and grill up anything! Last year I was a fan of grilling tofu, vegetable kabobs, and even muffins – yes, muffins!
Having More Free Time – Since I’m a teacher, I get a large chunk of the summer off of work. I do work on curriculum for my district and do a lot of babysitting, but it’s nice to just recharge for the next school year!
Thanks again to Heather for having me today – I can’t wait to hear more about Hunter!
