food and fitness week 8

by Heather

Good morning! I had totally planned to get this post up yesterday… but things got a little crazy with two.  Now that I’m back to cooking and moving a little more, I’m excited to do my weekly food and fitness posts again. Let’s see what I’ve been up to this last week.

Food

Monday – refried bean soup (so good + makes a boat load)

Tuesday – thai chicken coconut quinoa salads (the chicken marinade was delicious)

Wednesday – chicken cordon bleu (freezer meal I had made), roasted mixed veggies and homemade bread

Thursday – potato, sausage and apple hash + over easy eggs

Friday – mini pizza party!

Saturday – dinner out

Sunday – baked beans, roasted potatoes and asparagus

I chose pretty easy recipes for my first week back utilizing the crockpot and a freezer meal which worked out really well!  The mini pizza party with Hunter + my SIL, niece and nephew was so much fun.  I’m thinking Friday night pizza night will be an on going thing, especially since Hunter can help out with it.

Fitness

Monday – short family walk

Tuesday – short family walk

Wednesday – rest

Thursday – morning walk, 30-40 minutes + ultimate yogi cardio, 30 minutes

Saturday – family walk, about an hour

Sunday – practiced body combat, an hour

I’ve been randomly holding a plank after I put Zoe to bed, hovering by the bassinet to see if she’ll stay asleep. I slowly count to 30 and fall to the ground when it’s done – they’ve been tough!

We had a beautiful weekend weather wise and spent tons of time outside. Jacob cleaned up the front yard… getting ready for summer! This picture I captured of him striking a pose cracks me up. 🙂

Thanks for making the soup Heather! You are doing so amazing for just having a baby! I feel like I’m still adjusting to having two babies and my youngest is 18 months haha! Keep up the good work! 🙂

I miss living in Oregon to have basically green grass all year round. I moved back up to Canada years ago, but man we had another run of absolutely freezing weather which made us go inside… I can’t wait for Spring/Summer!
