Almond Pear Green Smoothie Recipe

Looks like I’m throwing you for a bit of a loop huh? It’s Friday and no pregnancy update? Nope not today. I’m feeling a bit under the weather and the pregnancy updates use a bit more brain power than I have right now. I actually have to remember stuff from the week for those updates.  Sometimes a challenge…

Almond Pear Green Smoothie

Instead I thought it would be the perfect time to share another green smoothie. I’ve been pouring these babies down my (sore) throat all week and am really loving this pear-almond butter combo.

Plus it just so happens to be St. Patty’s day tomorrow so the more green the better right?

Almond Pear Green Smoothie

The almond butter flavor is very pronounced here.  Being an almond butter lover, I’m totally happy with that.  All that beautiful green color comes from the spinach, but you really taste none-of-it!

Slurped up through my glass straw under a blanket on the couch with the heater on is how this went down.  It’s raining and cold here, not your normal smoothie weather.  Smoothies have healing power though, so I better keep slurping up (under the covers of course).

Sounds wonderful! I have been on such a smoothie kick lately! There so good! I love that made yours pear. I have one pear that needs a new home, I think it should go in a smoothie! Yum!! Love the recipe!

    1. Get Healthy with Heather says:

Oh better find a home for that pear in your smoothie!

Yum! I need to start adding nut butters to smoothies. It’s funny to think about spinach + nut butter, but raw spinach doesn’t really add flavor to a smoothie so it totally works. 🙂 Hope you get to feeling better!

Peanut butter is definitely my favorite to add to smoothies (especially with banana + cocoa powder), but they all add awesome flavor + more staying power!
