Vacations are awesome. Getting away and just enjoying time with family is the best.
My guest posters were awesome. Many thanks to Michelle, Jess, Kathleen and Samantha for stepping up and sharing such great posts. If you missed any of them be sure to check them out.
Riding bikes is awesome. If you follow me on dailymile (and you totally should!) then you saw how much we rode our bikes in Leavenworth. I totaled 94 miles in just 4 days. From not really riding much to riding 45 miles in one days (for Jacob’s birthday!)… well I impressed myself. I’ll be riding a lot more going forward.
Being active is awesome. Not only did we ride our bikes, we walked into town a bunch, swam, ran, played tennis, went white water rafting and even played some crocket. This was definitely the most active vacation we have taken and makes me want to be even more active on all vacations.
Relaxing is awesome. I relaxed so much I forgot to take pictures of our vacation. Okay, well that’s a lie. I remembered so I got out my camera and took a picture of myself.
Yup, no fun pictures of Leavenworth (which is German town in Washington), the amazing bike rides or the brand spanking new brewery opened up in Leavenworth.
Oh well… I can remember the great times without pictures.
Are you good about taking pictures on vacations? Do you enjoy being active when you’re away from home? I sure do! Any fun plans for the 4th? So far we’re keeping it pretty low key.

I’m glad to hear you had such an awesome vacation! Isn’t it great to get away and just do what you feel like? I love being active but when I go on vacation I prefer to just relax. If I do take an active vacation, it’s usually to site-see around a major city. I’m a true city-girl at heart!
Glad you are relaxing!! 🙂
Glad you had fun! I love a vacation that involves a lot of activity!! We always try to fit in as much fun walking, running, swimming, sports, etc as we can!
