Yesterday I was on double mom duty… and it was so much fun!  I watched a little 6 1/2 month old girl named Norah.  She was such a sweet girl.  The three of us walked to the grocery store for a dozen eggs.  Hunter in the stroller, Norah in the carrier.  It’s crazy how light she felt compared to carrying Hunter around.

We played.  Hunter wanted to tackle her the entire time… we’re working on being gentle.  They also napped at the same time.  Glorious.

It was a really fun day.

The night before that I finished my very first slouchy beanie!  It definitely is not perfect, but I’m so proud of it.

I followed a super simple video pattern.  I love that it’s a video, because if you’ve never knit before, you can really just follow along.  The girl goes nice n slow too which helps.   Here’s the link if you want to check it out.  Also, here’s the next one I want to make.  Maybe if I start it now I’ll be finished by the time it gets cold!

Now onto fitness.  Jacob’s been rocking his workouts.  He has yet to miss a day and is almost through week 3!  Here are the next two weeks in his plan along with the actual workouts.

Week 3 changes a little bit – mostly the breakdown of the days.

I asked Jacob his thoughts on how the workouts are going.  His response, “I dunno, I’m sore”.  Well, sore is good!  It always makes me happy when the day after a workout he complains about a particular muscle group being sore.  Means the workout was good, and he worked hard.

I had actually planned to share his workouts on Tuesday, but life got in the way.  Oh well, they’re up now. 🙂

We’re celebrating our 5 year anniversary this weekend with a weekend away to Hood River.  Away from the kiddo too, which will be our first night away from him.  Hoping it goes well!

What are your plans for this upcoming weekend?

Happy almost end of the week!
