november bestowed box

by Heather

Recently I was asked by Bestowed if I wanted to try out their November box of healthy goodies.  Of course, I instantly said yes.  I’ve tried a Bestowed box once before and loved the variety they sent me.  I knew it would include different items, so I patiently awaited for it to arrive.  Once it was here I busted it open to see what was inside.  I love getting packages in the mail… 🙂

Here’s what was included:

  • crunchmaster multi-seed crackers
  • eat green tea
  • lifeice
  • nektar honey crystals
  • perfect fuel chocolate
  • quest bar chocolate peanut butter (un-pictured above)
  • salba smart chia boost
  • skratch labs exercise hydration mix
  • wild garden hummus dip
  • zico chocolate coconut water

What I’ve tried so far:

  • quest bar – I snagged that so quickly out of the box as we were running out the door to church one morning.  I needed something to eat right away and it fit the bill.  Protein packed and filled with chocolate peanut butter flavor.  I hear if you warm the quest bars up a bit they are even more delicious, but I haven’t had a chance to do that yet.
  • nektar honey crystals – I put a whole pack in a big glass of hot tea with lemon added in as well.  It was a bit sweeter than I would normally make my tea, but a nice treat.  I’ll probably just use a half pack for a touch of sweetness when I want some added into my tea.
  • perfect fuel chocolate – I wasn’t the biggest fan of this chocolate flavor.  Not that it was bitter to me, since I like my chocolate super dark (80-90%), but I just wasn’t a big fan.  Hunter however tried an itty bitty piece and kept asking for more.  Sadly for him, it was little and I had already finished it.
  • crunchmaster multi-seed crackers – I’ve had these before and love them.  They’re perfectly crunchy and gluten-free if you’re looking for some made grain free.  I munched on the little bag throughout the day.  Glad it was a little bag because the munching would have just continued on and on and on and on….
  • wild garden hummus dip – So good!  I had planned to use the hummus with the crunchmaster crackers, but then I ate all of them.  Oops!  Instead I smeared it onto some whole grain bread as a spread along with avocado and cheese as sandwiches for Hunter and I to eat at the Portland Children’s Museum.  We loved it!  I really like the idea that you can easily take it with you, however, I just ended up using as I would with a refrigerated hummus container.
  • zico chocolate coconut water – I saved the best one for last.  This stuff was SO GOOD! This description might sound weird, but it tasted like watered down chocolate milk, but in a very good way.  Which makes total sense because it’s made with coconut water.  I could drink this stuff every day.

I plan to mix the eat green tea and chia boost into my oatmeal, although probably not together.  The lifeice are in my freezer just waiting to be tested for when I want a healthy small chocolate bite before bed.

On their website you can read more about what makes each of the products healthy and why it was selected for the box.

FOR YOU

As a special offer to all of you through the end of November (which means through Saturday) you can get your first Bestowed box for just $10 instead of $19 by using the code HELLOTEN105 at checkout.  A big thanks to Bestowed for sharing all these goodies with me!

What would be your favorite item from that box of goodies?  Anyone else a little obsessed with chocolate coconut water?  I need more…

The chocolate zico is pretty good I have to agree. I had the mocha one of it and it was not disgusting but really not that tasteful! Now that I think about it I had the mocha one first and it took me a very long time to even try their chocolate as I was afraid!
