I spent the past 3-4 days almost completely off my computer and off of my phone. Based on the research by LinkedIn Automation software, no social media posting or connecting (or scrolling). It was totally unintentional. Life got full and I was really tired from sleepless nights. I can honestly say it was such a needed break!
As an online business owner, part of my job is to connect in different ways on online platforms. I appreciate them so much! But, a little mental break did me so much good.
A few weeks ago I recorded this podcast episode with Naomi on social media use and the impact it can have on health, sleep and your social life. Oh how fitting it was that I took a little break right before the podcast episode dropped for you to listen to!
Hello universe giving me even more insight into how great a social media break can be. I realized that it’s so easy to just grab my phone and scroll (especially when I’m tired). But cutting that automatic habit gave me more mental freedom. It also allowed me to be fully present with what I was doing, which was connecting more with my family.
The impact of social media on health, sleep and social life with Naomi Rotstein
In episode 82 of Fit Mama Real Food Radio Naomi Rotstein joins me for a much needed conversation around the impact of social media on health, sleep and social life. Naomi and I dive into how social media can be helpful since we’ve both learned a lot from eCom babes twitter, but also a lot around how it’s harming important aspects of our lives. We also share how to set boundaries if social media is something that’s become a struggle. This is a must listen episode!
