Normally I’m singing the Monday blues, but not this time.  Yesterday was s.u.p.e.r!

It start out with a 4 mile run.  Joe and I tackled a route we’ve done so many times.  He stopped to pee a lot, like expected, and I refreshed my legs at each stop.

I ran in my new Bondi BandWill run for beer.  Yes please!

Most headbands like to move around a bunch but not this one.  It was very comfortable and great for exercise because it’s made with sweat wicking fabrics.

The best part?  The saying!  The very true saying. Winking smile

Moving on…

Next came work which flew by.  I got 45 minutes of walking in (15 minute morning break + 30 minutes on my lunch break), which after running in the morning then sitting for many hours is great on my legs + hips.  I try to stretch really well after a run but what seems to work best for me is getting in extra walks.  It really loosens up tight muscles.  Plus soaking in those sunshine rays makes me a happy camper.

I got out of work a few hours so I could spend some extra time with the hubs.  It was our 3 year anniversary.

Time sure flies!

We have big plans to celebrate on Saturday, so we kept it mellow and just walked downtown to one of our favorite places, By the Bottle, and picked up a pint of local IPA.

After that we wandered around downtown… checked out a new brewery that’s opening up and got a full tour of how all the prep is going.  The perks of being home brewers!

Some more wandering around + checking out the amazing new library and we were back home.

I found a bunch of surprises in my sad little garden.

A cucumber plant is growing!

Eggplant too!

Ugh so many weeds too.

Rouge tomato plant growing not where I planted a seed!

All my potato plants are doing so well!  Does anyone know if these green berries are normal though?

I wish I had more time + drive to work on my garden, but I’m happy to see I have some great things growing.

We dined on tacos… simple and delicious then I was off to audition at the YMCA.

I’m SO happy to say I’ll be teaching a sport training class (woo hoo!) come September as long as I passed my AFAA group fitness certification… not that I’m worried about passing.

What a great Monday it was. Smile

GIVEAWAY

My Bondi Band is a new favorite of mine… like I said above it rocked.  The ‘will run for beer’ had a lot to do with it, but also with my hair shorter now it doesn’t like to stay in a ponytail very well.  This kept it out of my face with no little pieces of hair flying around.

Now you can win your own Bondi Band!
