Do you remember what set you on your path to healthy eating? Was it a gradual shift or light bulb kind of moment? Maybe a person in your life, an article, a doctor, a book or something else gave you a push?
My path was gradual, and as I learned more, I made adjustments and settled into a real food style of eating that I love, and I feel is supportive and nourishing for my family.
Have you been wondering where to start on your family’s journey to a real food based, healthy lifestyle?
One of my favorite places to look is in books! Which is why I am so excited about today’s giveaway!!
WIN 5 Real Food Books for Healthier Families
I have 5 amazing books up for grabs, and they basically set you up from pregnancy through feeding your family. Here’s what is up for grabs!
Author and specialist in prenatal nutrition, Lily Nichols, RDN, CDE, has taken a long and hard look at the science and discovered a wide gap between current prenatal nutrition recommendations and what foods are required for optimal health in pregnancy and for your baby’s development.
In Real Baby Food, Jenna Helwig helps you fit this loving act into a busy day’s routine by making the process easy, fast, and flexible with 100 meals to begin a lifetime of healthy eating—from the moment your baby takes her first bite of solid food through her toddler years when she’s happily ensconced in a booster seat at the family table.
Feeding your baby a variety of healthy, wholesome solid foods, rather than relying solely on purees, is thought to promote motor skills and establish lifelong healthy eating habits. Here, author and food editor at Parents magazine Jenna Helwig gives an easy-to-follow introduction to this popular new method. With more than 100 ideas and recipes, this bright, photo-driven book includes chapters on the benefits of this approach, when and how to get started, essential safety and nutrition guidelines, frequently asked questions, basic fruit and vegetable prep, more complex finger foods, and family meals.
Cassy Joy draws from her years of research and experience, to deliver a roadmap to mastering her revolutionary ‘Four Pillars of True Health’. With over 175 gluten-free and Paleo-friendly recipes, a 28-day food and fitness plan, portion guides, program guides and supplemental online tools, Fed & Fit provides readers a foundation for lasting success.
For nearly 15 years, Cynthia Lair’s iconic cookbook Feeding the Whole Family has been the source for parents who want to cook one healthy meal for the entire family, including babies.
