I have been a granola making fool over here!

Though it was time to share some of my recent spent grain granola creations.

It all started with our first day of brewing beer.

Then I was left with cups and cups of this beautiful spent grain.  The left over boiled grains that create malt for beer.

What’s a girl to do?

Make granola of course Smile

I had fun making a few more varieties recently.  I revamped my chocolate-cherry spent grain granola, and boy was it a hit.  In a major way.

Strawberry-Almond was up next.

The strawberry flavor was light and refreshing.  Jacob told me it reminded him of a cereal, but my old lady memory can’t remember which one.  That boy likes cereal so it’s a good sign!

Lastly peanut-banana was created.

It was in need of some banana chips and a little more tweaking.  That didn’t stop me from munching away at it.

I have more spent grains and will be a granola making girl this weekend.

What unique flavor should I try out next?

Maybe something with shredded carrot, apple {pie}, tropical or peanut butter-chocolate.

What do you think?  What unique flavor should I go for this time?

Who knows… there may be a giveaway involved soon.Winking smile
