It’s been an exciting week in the Englund household. Not only did we have 2 ultrasounds, we also had a midwife appt, so we heard the heartbeat and saw baby 2 times!
The reason for 2 ultrasounds? This baby did not want to cooperate! Not only for finding out the sex, but for getting good pictures of the heart and different organs too.
Wednesday we came home with this picture.
Girl??
We left mostly thinking girl, but the tech really wasn’t too sure. She just couldn’t get a good look at the lack of goods.
Yesterday we went back and it was confirmed – we’ll be adding a girl to our family come February! Hooray for another lady in the house!
Everything looked perfect and my ultrasound due date based on the baby’s size was spot on with my calculated due date of February 18th.
We have a name picked out, but this time around I feel like keeping it to ourselves, although both our mothers are not too happy about that. Sorry moms, you’ll have to wait too!
Did you find out the sex of your kiddos? Did they always cooperate?

Congratulations! One of each! I’m expecting now, too, and am about 16 weeks. A few weeks ago, we chose to have a new blood test that checks for chromosomal abnormalities done (instead of the standard first trimester screen), and a bonus was we also got to find out the sex! So we found out that way – no question! We are, however, keeping it a secret. You can imagine how the grandmothers are handling that!
Congrats!!! I’m all for keeping things secret. That way, you can change your mind at any time and no one knows the difference! 🙂

YaaaaaaaaaaaaaaY!!!! I am so excited for you guys. I have one of each and it is so amazing just how different little boys and girls are. Congratulations!
Yay! So exciting! We found out with both of ours. My daughter was being difficult and it took a long time to finally determine the sex, and our boy was easy; it was the first thing we saw when she put the wand on my stomach!
YAYYY! So so exciting. Yes, we found out the sex. I have no idea how people don’t find out- I’m too nosey 🙂 We didn’t name Kaylin until the day before she was born so it was a secret to everyone including us haha
