Hello!

Right now Jacob and I are driving up to the lake house for our final Christmas weekend celebration. Well, him driving, me sitting.

I just spent the last 45 minutes on my phone going through gender predictors… once we’re out of the car I’ll go through a couple more then share the results. So far they’re definitely swaying in 1 direction!

I wanted to pop in and share the easiest recipe I’ve made lately. If you can’t tell from those chocolate covered peanut butter cookie dough balls and pb pretzel dough balls, I’ve been all about the no-baking lately. It’s so simple and quick, plus the result is pretty spectacular if you ask me.

Like I mentioned before, I have a lot of pretzels in the house. Pretzels and chocolate go so well together, so this combo was bound to happen again. Something about the salty pretzels and sweet chocolate get me every time.

The idea for these haystacks actually came from the cereal box. Their version had more ingredient and a bit more work to them. Mine are simplified and well… simply delicious!

Hope you enjoy them! And be sure to share, they make great gifts.

Sunbutter Pretzel Puff Haystacks
makes about 12 haystacks

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seed butter
  • 1 cup pretzels, roughly chopped
  • 1 cup puffed cereal (I used kashi 7 whole grain puffs)

Directions

  1. Add 2-3 inches of water to a small pot over medium heat. Place a large glass bowl over top with the chocolate and sun flower seed butter. Melt together, stirring every so often.
  2. Once the chocolate is fully melted, stir the pretzels and cereal in until fully combined.
  3. Take heaping tablespoons of the mixture and place them on a cookie sheet (lined with foil). Once all haystacks are made, place in the fridge to fully harden.

The salty-sweet combo is addicting. Definitely hard to stop at one. You’ve been warned!

Have a wonderful weekend!

Any fun new years plans?

I’ll be lucky is I can stay awake past 11. 😉
