We are back with a brand new 30 minute workout video! It’s been a hot minute since I’ve shared a 30 minute workout here, and I’m so dang excited about this one. Today I’m bringing you a 30 minute yoga dumbbell HIIT pyramid workout. We combine yoga moves, dumbbells and a pyramid HIIT style workout – oh friend it is GOOD!
When you want to get it all in, this is your workout. We’ve got yoga moves (hello flexibility), dumbbell resistance training (hello strong muscles) and intervals (hello heart rate). All this in just 30 minutes! You guys know I love fast + effective workouts and this right here, is just that.
What is a pyramid workout?
A pyramid workout is a style of workout that has you slowly increase either the length of exercise or the number of repetitions. When you arrive at the peak of the workout (top point in your triangle if you’re thinking visually), you slowly climb back down decreasing either the length of exercise or repetitions.
Here’s how this pyramid workout will go today.
We have 5 exercises we’ll be going through during the entire workout.
After a quick warm up we’ll start with 30 seconds of exercise 1, then 30 seconds of rest.
The next round will start with 30 seconds of exercise 1, then 30 seconds of exercise 2, then 30 seconds of rest.
The next 3 rounds will continue that pattern until you get through all 5 exercises in a row. That’s the peak of the pyramid.
Then it reverses in order as you lower down the pyramid.
Each exercise is a full body movement that will target your strength building or your cardiovascular system (or both!).
