It’s hard to believe that in 19 days my little man is going to be 6 months old! He started as this tiny little baby…

And has turned into this little boy!

After the initial weight loss of giving birth, I hadn’t lost much more. It took a while for me to fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes, but around the 4 month mark things started changing. I began losing a little more weight and shrinking. I was much more excited about the shrinking part. I have this whole wardrobe of clothes I haven’t touched in quite some time, so wearing them again has been fun.

As far as the numbers go I’m 15 pounds over my pre-pregnancy weight (still a pretty consistent 3 pound/month weight loss), but really I hope to only lose 5-10 more pounds, which is really nothing in the grand scheme of things. Since I’m so close to where I want to be I won’t really be doing much different than I do now. Between teaching (which is to majority of my exercise) and nursing I burn lots of calories.

Throughout the day I feel like I’m always eating to keep my energy up, and until recently I’ve been eating really well. I feel like the past couple weeks haven’t been my best. Buying a huge bag of Costco trail mix maybe wasn’t the best idea. I’m grabbing handful after handful a few too many times. I need more vegetables in my life again. That’s my biggest goal for the month – more veggies! Eat better! Easy as that, right???

Okay, picture time.  Here’s my picture from 3 months…

And now from 5 months…

Another view from 3 months…

And more recent 5 months again…

It’s not very visible in the pictures, but my abs are beginning to get more defined again.  They also feel much much stronger.  6 pack after baby?  Now that’s a goal I’d like to achieve.

That’s all for now.  I hope you enjoy your Friday and weekend!

ah! You are looking great 🙂 That little line takes FOREVER to go away, doesn’t it? I thought it’d like magically disappear. You’re doing fantastic. Trail mix is totally my downfall. I can’t keep it in the house!
