Easy & Healthy Frozen Banana Snickers Pops – Vegan!

I love using bananas as the main sweetener in a delicious, healthy treat, and this recipe does not disappoint!

Bananas are an excellent source of potassium, so while you’re enjoying all the flavors of a Snickers bar, your body is getting some added goodness.

These frozen banana popsicles couldn’t be easier to make. We’re simply coating the banana in peanut butter and crunchy peanuts, then dunking it in a chocolate coating. Once frozen, enjoy your yummy cool treat!

How to make snickers ice cream bar banana popsicles

Step 1:  Slice the bananas in half and add a popsicle stick into each banana half. Spread the peanut butter on the bananas, then roll the peanut butter bananas in the peanuts. Place on a parchment paper-lined sheet pan and freeze for 1-2 hours.

Step 2: Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together in the microwave or over a double boiler. Take the frozen PB bananas out of the freezer and cover them in the melted chocolate. Place back in the freezer for 1-2 more hours to fully harden, then enjoy!

Note: If they are frozen and super hard when taken out of the freezer, allow them to sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before enjoying, to get the best texture.

How to store

Store in the freezer until ready to enjoy. If the banana is frozen too solid to bite into, allow it to sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes to soften slightly.

Snickers banana pops will last in the freezer for up to 6 months when stored properly.

Substitutions, optional variations & dietary adjustments

Below you’ll find a list of substitutions that will work well in this on point frozen banana snickers recipe.

Bananas – For banana pops, bananas are a must! But you could absolutely use this same Snickers flavoring with slices of apple, strawberries, or other fruits.

Creamy peanut butter – Crunchy peanut butter would work as well! For a nut-free option, use sunflower seed butter.

Dry-roasted peanuts – For a nut-free option, use roasted sunflower seeds.

Dark chocolate chips – You can use semi-sweet chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips as an alternative.
