If you are looking for fresh flavors, these wraps sure won’t disappoint! They are a great way to up your protein at lunchtime while also getting fresh vegetables in.

You can use store-bought hummus, or make your own hummus for this recipe. Rotisserie chicken also makes it a speedy to prep lunch! The salty feta pairs beautifully with the crispy veggies making this lunch a flavor-forward meal!

This is my go-to when I just want something other than a salad or sandwich for lunch that is both filling and delicious, while also being super easy to make.

Want to make these vegetarian wraps? Swap the chicken for garbanzo beans! You can also omit the feta cheese to make these into vegan Mediterranean wraps.

Tortilla options for your Mediterranean wrap

The world of tortilla types is endless! Choose your favorite wrap based on taste preference, or nutrition.

Use gluten-free tortillas with a brown rice tortilla or almond flour tortilla. Turn it into a lettuce wrap like with my BBQ chicken lettuce wraps.

Use a low carb wrap if that’s what you’re looking for.

Find a sprouted grain wrap, large whole wheat tortilla or spinach tortilla for the whole family to enjoy.

Use lavash bread for a rectangular wrap shape.

Personal preferences take precedence here.

How to prep it in advance

The next time you need a healthy lunch that’s ready for you in minutes, think of this easy recipe!

Once you have cooked chicken, chopped vegetables, and store-bought or homemade hummus ready to go, this easy lunch is super quick to make. It works great for meal prep!

I like to have my chicken cooked and pre-chopped into bite-size pieces. Same with the feta-veggie salad – have it chopped and ready to go.

Then all you have to do is grab your favorite tortilla, and add hummus, chicken, and veggies to it. Pre-make them and wrap them in parchment paper to take on the go!

Substitutions

Below you’ll find a list of substitutions that will work well in this healthy Mediterranean hummus wrap recipe.

If you try something different out, please leave a comment below letting us all know how it turned out!

Hummus – If you have a favorite hummus, use that here! Non-hummus spread alternatives include tzatziki sauce, kefir ranch, or a spinach artichoke dip.

Chicken – Rotisserie chicken makes a quick and easy protein option to use instead of home-cooked chicken. Chicken or turkey deli meat work too. To keep this meat-free, try garbanzo beans instead. You could also swap the chicken for hard boiled eggs seasoned with sea salt and black pepper for mediterranean egg wraps!

Vegetables – Tomatoes and cucumbers are called for this recipe. Red bell pepper and zucchini are both great alternatives here.

Feta – If feta isn’t available, cojita cheese will work well, and so will queso fresco. While both are a little milder, they will offer the salty flavor feta gives.
