In Episode 20 I am joined by Heidi Jaquith to chat about choosing joy in motherhood. Heidi is a wife and mom of 3 little kiddos. She is a good friend of mine and someone I look up to in motherhood. I knew she needed to come onto the show because when we’re together with all of our kids, she has this aura of joy she emulates when parenting. Heidi Joy, is aptly named for her true spirit is full of joy; love you sweet girl!!! Funny how you spoke about intentional parenting! I have a fee favorite podcasts, about minimalism, parenting, cleaning and biblestudies and ALL have spoken about doing things with the mindset of being intentional, in the different areas. Intentional must be the word for me for the year and I hope to keep it going forever!
Great advice, definitely can’t run on life with emotions. Feel all the feels and let them go. Having had post partum depression and had a few very hard years, the best thing I learned was how to allow myself to feel it all and know when to let it go. Ps, the grouchy timer is an excellent idea for us adults!!! Writing is a great healer for the mind and soul for sure. Great idea to allow yourself to write out all that is bothering you, then write out the blessings. That way you’re validating and acknowledging how you feel without pretending that life is good, easy peesy, and praise God in all things. We are called to praise Him always, but we are also allowed to mourn, weep, get angry, etc…there is a time for everything. I miss you Heidikinz!!! It was freat to hear your voice and as always, I love listening to you fitmamarealfood! Today was great, thank you?
Alicia, I am so glad you loved it! YES to being intentional in all areas. It is so cool to hear that podcasts in different areas of life, even cleaning, are talking about that!
