How to make chicken bacon Caesar salad

Step 1: Start by preparing each ingredient – slice the eggs (I love my handy egg slicer!), chop the crunchy romaine lettuces, dice the chicken into small pieces, chop the bacon, and prepare the creamy Caesar dressing.

Step 2: Add the lettuce, chicken, eggs, chopped bacon, and parmesan cheese to a large bowl along with the tangy Caesar dressing. Toss to fully combine and then serve with extra parmesan cheese. Feel free to add in homemade croutons if you’d like to!

NOTE: If you need to quickly cook some chicken for this recipe, slice the chicken in half horizontally to make thinner chicken breasts, season both sides of chicken breasts with sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning, and then sear in a medium heat skillet with olive oil or avocado oil until cooked through.

How to meal prep this recipe

Whether you want to turn this salad into mason jar salads or add to individual containers to take on the go, it works really well for meal prep!

Mason Jar Salads: To add to a large mason jar, start with the salad dressing, then add the chicken, egg, bacon, cheese, and lastly the lettuce. Shake the jar with a lid on to combine, then enjoy!

Meal Prep Containers: You can also add the salad ingredients in the same order listed above in meal prep containers or air-tight containers.

Individually Stored: Feel free to prep all the ingredients and store them in their own individual containers. When it’s time to each, build your salad and enjoy!

How to store

With most greens salads, once you add the dressing they don’t keep very well as leftovers. I did find that the leftovers still were fresh tasting after 1 day, so feel free to enjoy any leftover salad the next day!

Once cooled to room temperature, add it in an airtight container in the fridge until you’re ready to enjoy it!

If you try something different out, please leave a comment below letting us all know how it turned out!

Hard-boiled eggs – If you’re not a fan of the egg yolks part of a hard-boiled egg, feel free to just use the egg whites.

Romaine lettuce – Leafy greens or kale are both great alternative options to replace the romaine lettuce.

Traeger chicken breast – Any leftover chicken that you have or even rotisserie chicken will work great in this recipe!

Bacon – Looking to make this salad a bit more lean? Opt for turkey bacon instead of pork bacon.

Shredded parmesan cheese – Parmesan shavings are a nice alternative. You could also use Romano cheese in place of parmesan.

Homemade dressing – If you have a favorite bottled Caesar dressing or just don’t like mixing dressing ingredients, feel free to use that!
