Freezer staples, storage tips and food safety – we’ll be chatting all about that in the latest podcast episode! Find my favorite freezer recipes + items I keep stocked in my freezer on the regular below.
In this current state of the world I’m grocery shopping less, which means my freezer is currently packed and my meal planning looks a little different than it normally does. I’ve been reverse meal planning. Did I make up that phrase? It basically means I’m heading to my freezer to grab protein for the week, and then meal planning around that.
I am using my Meal Planning Mamas Meal Planner and it’s really helping me to stay organized! Has your system changed at all as we navigate COVID-19?
I know my freezer looks different (fuller) and that’s our topic on the podcast today! I loved sharing how to build a capsule pantry in episode #121 last week, but let’s not forget how helpful a stocked freezer can be! The same principle of only keeping foods on hand that you will actually use is key. I’ve been guilty of freezing extras from a meal that I thought we would eat, only to have it still in there a year later. Keep food on hand, but actually use it so it isn’t wasted food!
