Curious about the fertility awareness method? Today’s podcast episode with Lisa Hendrickson-Jack, a certified Fertility Awareness Educator and Holistic Reproductive Health Practitioner, explains it all! You’ll learn why tracking our cycles is important to do, what the method is, along with who it’s right and also not right for.
What is the fertility awareness method?
I’m excited to re-share this past podcast episode with you today! Back in episode 85 (we are at 131 now!) I had the absolute pleasure of chatting with Lisa about the fertility awareness method. It was such a fun conversation (I absolutely love her energy!) and I knew that this podcast needed to re-air.
I became curious about this method years ago, but while I was already in the baby having phase. I wasn’t trying to prevent pregnancy so I thought, it wasn’t for me. But what I learned from my chat with Lisa is that understanding your cycle gives you so much insight into your body.
Tuning in to your cycle
I’ve been tracking my cycle ever since getting a period back consistently post-breastfeeding. I find it so fascinating!
I’ll definitely be sharing an episode soon getting into the nitty gritty of how I use the phases in my cycle to decide my workouts. Be on the lookout for that for sure!

The Fertility Awareness Method Explained with Lisa Hendrickson-Jack
In episode 131 of Fit Mama Real Food Radio I am excited to re-share my conversation with Lisa Hendrickson-Jack for a deep dive into the fertility awareness method. We touched on why it’s important to track our cycles and what information we can gain from it, how you actually go about tracking your cycle then using that information with the fertility awareness method. We also talked about the effectiveness for pregnancy prevention along with who the fertility awareness method is right and wrong for. Ladies, I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did!
